Woden client Stensul has raised a $34.5 million Series C funding round led by Sageview Capital.
Stensul’s Marketing Creation Platform allows enterprise marketing teams to craft on-brand emails and landing pages without sacrificing quality or relying on designers and developers. Its platform has achieved “must-have” status for global brands like Capital One, Samsung, ASICS Digital, and Greenhouse.
Stensul CEO Noah Dinkin engaged Woden to codify a strategic narrative that would inform its messaging, culture, and customer experience. Woden crafted a story that placed marketing leaders at its center, capturing the chaotic, frustrating, and slow processes they endure when creating emails without a centralized platform.
To help the company implement this message, Woden traveled with the Stensul team to Salesford Connections, where Stensul’s “Sloth” conference giveaways merged with its narrative to drive an unprecedented level of booked demos.
Stensul’s StoryGuide helped them disassociate from standard email builders and template tools. Enterprises are trapped using highly inefficient creation processes, and Stensul needed a narrative that pivoted away from technical features and instead focused on language that inspires and empowers marketing leaders.
“This funding round speaks to the value we’re creating and the massive opportunity ahead of us,” said Noah. “Our talented team has done an amazing job bringing Stensul to ‘must-have’ status for some of the most admired companies in the world. It’s only a matter of time until every company’s marketing team moves away from their slow and painful processes, and we can’t wait to be the catalyst to make that happen.”
Woden provided Stensul’s team with the actionable context needed to consistently articulate their category-leading status, ensuring they could replace painful enterprise bottlenecks with a modern vision of collaborative creation.
