Spiro.ai Acquired by Cordance

Woden client Spiro.ai, the Proactive Relationship Management platform built specifically for the manufacturing and industrial distribution sectors, has been acquired by Cordance.

Spiro began as a niche CRM provider trying to carve out a space in a market dominated by massive titans like Salesforce and HubSpot. Prospects agreed that CRM was broken, but were hesitant to take a risk on a new platform.

To break through this barrier, Spiro engaged Woden to develop their strategic narrative.

Research helped Woden narrow Spiro’s ideal customer to companies that had already tried and abandoned traditional CRMs, reverting to spreadsheets and analog tools.

The StoryKernel positioned Spiro as the anti-CRM, on a mission is to “kill CRM” by replacing manual data entry with proactive, automated insights tailored specifically for manufacturing teams. Alongside this narrative, Woden helped Spiro introduce a new category: Proactive Relationship Management.

The narrative shifted Spiro’s story entirely away from technical AI features and steered it toward a mission that resonated with buyers who felt burned by traditional platforms.

“Our strategic acquisition of Spiro signifies our dedication to delivering instant value through AI-driven customer insights, finely calibrated for the complex demands of manufacturing businesses,” explained Sharon Love, CEO of Cordance. “These insights empower manufacturers to drive informed decisions, enhance customer experiences, and propel business growth.”

After an on-site StorySeminar with Spiro’s leadership team in Boston, Woden develop Spiro’s StoryGuide to provide the blueprint needed to implement the StoryKernel in every phase of the buying journey. Woden’s work helped Spiro’s sales and marketing teams cut through a vast marketplace and speak directly to manufacturers looking for a completely different approach to data.
