Woden client Sandboxx has secured a $9 million growth investment from Boathouse Capital to accelerate the expansion of its military communication and lifestyle platform.
The funding will allow Sandboxx to scale its team and build out digital tools that support service members beyond basic training, including career advancement tracking and secure unit communication.
Sandboxx engaged Woden to build a clear narrative framework to unlock its next phase of market growth. Through the development of their StoryKernel, Woden uncovered a core truth about the military experience: from the first day of boot camp, service members face a series of complicated life transitions without connection to their support network outside the military.
“We set out to build a platform that could fundamentally reshape the success of our military community,” said Sam Meek, CEO and Co-founder of Sandboxx. “In the next 18 months, Sandboxx and the Boathouse team will work together in the product trenches to onboard the entire U.S. Military.”
Woden developed a StoryGuide to help Sandboxx apply this message consistently across its product and marketing teams, giving them a clear framework to turn basic training users into lifelong platform advocates.
With this new funding, Sandboxx continues to leverage its story of reliable connection to expand its reach across the Department of Defense, ensuring that every recruit, service member, and military family feels supported at every stage of their service journey.
