The Transformation Journey is Woden’s six-phase change management framework built specifically for narrative transformation. Woden developed it to move an organization from knowing a strategic narrative to living it across every team, every conversation, and every customer interaction. When organizations follow it in sequence, it shifts the odds of branding success from 20 percent to 98 percent.

The six phases work in sequence:

Desire—The CEO identifies the specific change the StoryKernel makes for the company’s strategy and commits to it before anything else moves forward. Every CEO must see the narrative as essential to achieving their goals before the story can gain traction in the organization.

Commit—The leadership team unanimously signs off on a narrative strategy with clear goals, milestones, and accountability. The story moves from pure strategy to a set of goals the organization has committed to achieving together.

Model—Leadership actively demonstrates the story at every touchpoint before asking anyone else to change. Seeing leadership carry the narrative into conferences, sales conversations, and internal meetings gives the rest of the organization a best practice to follow.

Adopt—Every team updates materials, training, and copy to align with the StoryKernel. These visible changes show the organization that leadership is serious, and give every team member the tools to carry the story into their own work.

Accelerate—The organization builds company-wide storytelling capability through practice, coaching, and a constant feedback loop from clients and leadership. This phase ends when every team member tells the story independently in a way that pulls best-fit buyers toward the brand.

Scale—Individual team members advance the story and strategy without ongoing support. The narrative evolves alongside the organization and every customer interaction becomes a proof point for the brand.
